Fourth of July

One of our friends circulated an email a few days leading up to the 4th of July that the Hauges were hosting a BBQ/badminton tournament on the 4th. Following a few more enthusiastic emails over the "plan" we agreed. Initially, we had hoped Magnus would spend the night at his grandma, Ami's house, and we wouldn't have the worry of putting the boy to sleep amidst all the chaos, but unfortunately Ami got sick and we'd already given the go ahead to our friends, so we crossed our fingers that having a party at home and then trying to put our child to sleep amidst all the revelling wouldn't have us pulling our hair out over our stupidity. To our delight, Magnus was a total champ, hung out and enjoyed all the commotion surrounding him and then crashed through the bottlerockets, fireworks and hoopla outside.
